Beer Description
The idea for this one came from a conversation with Assistant Brewer Dan Rafferty about a year ago. Make a stout without any roasted malts and come up with a beer that looks like a blonde but tastes like a stout. We questioned this venture until we had a White Stout by Cascade Brewing this past December. Using cacao nibs and coffee to impart the chocolate and roast flavors of a stout without any color contribution, the White Stout is probably our most interesting Beer Week offering this year.
