Beer Description
A session Rye I.P.A. (India Pale Ale) is an easier drinking version of the classic I.P.A.. It has a lighter body but loads of hop flavors & aromas. The addition of rye adds a slight spicy character. It is brewed with American GoldPils & Carapils malt and flaked rye. It is hopped with American Calypso, Jarrylo & Mosaic hops. We then put 10 lbs. of Mosaic wet (fresh from the farm & unkilned) hops into the fermentor for 3 weeks. This is a special beer that can only be made once a year when the hops are harvested.
