Beer Description
Unlike most IPAs brewed on the West Coast – our IPA not only has a ton of hops (100 IBUs) but is brewed with a strong malt backbone to help balance out the bitterness. Like most Imperial IPAs brewed in California, this beer is bittered with a variety of American hops – including those known as the “C-hops”: Cascade, Chinook and Centennial. These impart a spicy and citrus flavor into the beer. But unlike most Imperial IPAs, this beer has a strong malt backbone to help balance out the hop bitterness. Our base malt is 50% Munich Light and 50% American 2-Row. We additionally dryhop (hops added to fermentor) with a unique blend of four American hops – including Mt. Hood (an American take on German Hallertauer).
