Full Sail 8 Pound Fresh Hop IPA

Brewed with local freshly harvested hops, our 8 Pound Pale is sure to be a hop lover’s delight! Every fall we look forward to brewing a fresh hop beer to celebrate the hop harvest. We use eight pounds of fresh hops per barrel to brew this beer, but it’s absolutely worth it. There are distinct flavors and aromas that you can only get brewing with fresh hops. Brewed in small batches, this beer is only available during harvest.

Farm to tank in three hours- 2017 Fresh Hopped 8 Pound Pale Ale explodes with bright tropical notes. A blend of pale and wheat malts created a light golden base which we packed with Willamette Valley grown Centennial Hops, only hours off the vine. Beautiful fresh-hop aromas of tropical fruit and citrus are complimented nicely with subtle malt notes. This refreshing beer is high on hop aromatics yet well balanced.

Each hop variety reaches peak maturity at a different time during harvest, so each year’s brew is unique. This year’s batch will be brewed with fresh Centennial hops from B & D Farms located in St. Paul, Oregon.
