Belgian inspired dark(ish) ale made with candy sugar. 7.0% ABV
Ardennite is a Belgian-inspired ale and the brainchild of our Heady Brewer Mike Guten. It’s named after a mineral first found in the Ardennes mountains of Belgium. Featuring prominent Belgian yeast esters (spices, banana), this beer is also brewed with 10 pounds of candy sugar that Mike made himself. At 7% ABV, it has a rich amber hue and a medium-bodied creamy mouthfeel with flavors of dark fruits and raisin. Let this one warm up a little bit and you’ll unleash all kinds of complex flavors.
