Confluence Bagger's Burden Kolsch W/ Tamarind & Cardamom

Thanks to the Greenbelt, Walnut Creek and Bill Riley Trails, Confluence and 515 Brewing have been literally connected since 515 opened their doors in March of 2013. But there is a lot more than a trail system tying our two breweries together. A mutual love of great beer and its endless variety of styles has made us fast friends, and members from one brewery can often be found in the taproom of the other after a long day’s work. When we sat down to put our heads together on this long overdue collaboration, we realized that several members of our team are self-professed “baggers.” You know, those bikers with the fat tires that always have an extra can of beer for you in the cavernous depths of their saddle bags. So, in honor of these generous folks, we set out to brew the perfect beer to place in their bags: a Kolsch–clean, simple, and refreshing. The addition of cardamom and tamarind gives this beer a balanced sweetness and tartness to make it the perfect thirst quencher for a summer ride.
