Beer Description
Blanche Des Moines is brewed on 60% pilsener malt and 40% unmalted wheat. In spite of a close affinity to the Flemish witbiers this is somewhat different.
It is brewed with a higher proportion of unmalted wheat which adds even more of the special, wheaty notes that are so characteristic for the style. Naturally the beer has been added coriander and dried orange peel. Furthermore an extract of licorice root has been added. Primary fermentation is with a classical Witbier yeast and the beer is bottle fermented.
