Beer Description
Before Jacob Schmidt established Schmidt Brewing Company, he owned and operated North Star Brewing in St. Paul. In 1900 a major fire destroyed the brewery, and Jacob Schmidt moved the firm to what is now the Schmidt Brewing complex. This lightly roasty black lager is a tribute to the old North Star Brewery and the history of St. Paul brewing.
