Beer Description
Tap at Backwoods, Carson.Clear dark amber with a thin beige head. Nose carries hop notes, caramel, sugars, orange, many of the right notes but a little on the thin side for a 10% DIPA. Taste comprises caramel malts, sugars, hops, orange pith, bitter grapefruit. Full bodied, fine carbonation, hop bitterness in the finish. Drinkable DIPA but a little dumbed down, no real depth or punch to this one, alchocol was well hidden if indeed it was 10.1% as per the beer list! As I found with most of the Backwoods beers, it was drinkable but some way short of being top draw, glorified good level home brewing to be blunt!
