Beer Description
The scent is soft with striking wood notes. Floral and sweet as honey blossom. Almond and vanilla present and of course the normal Quadruple odor which remains in the background. The first drink tastes clearly soft red wine followed by wood tannins and smoke which slowly turn into a soft honey sweetness. As the beer warms, the oak drunk make more forward and seems to be tanninerijker beer. Therefore, this batch sufficiently bitter and wood flavor in the background remains. This Quadrupel is medium sweet and drier than normal Quadrupel. ‘Late burgundy barrels’ 91% new oak (high toast) 4.5% New accasia (medium toast) 4.5%
