Beer Description
Munich’s famed Oktoberfest pours are reserved for just six historic breweries—Augustiner (founded 1328), Paulaner (1634), and four others permitted to serve their legally protected Münchener Bier at the world’s largest folk festival. Giesinger, which began brewing in a garage in 2007, has quickly grown into one of Munich’s most respected young breweries and hopes to one day become the seventh.
Brewed to the traditional specifications of a true Münchner Hell, this lager uses Munich water and local brewing conditions, with an original gravity of 11.4–11.9°P, ABV between 4.7–5.4%, and a gentle bitterness of 14–25 IBUs. Since installing its own deep well in Feldmoching in 2020, Giesinger now meets every requirement to produce this classic Bavarian style. Crisp, balanced, and beautifully drinkable.
