Twin Elephant + Test Century

What an absolute honor & pleasure to sit down with our friends Ben & Matt from The Test Brewery for a day and hash out a truly inspired collaboration project. For us these sessions are what it’s all about and why we do what we do. A playful push and pull on brewing ethos and process beliefs that always ends up with your headspace better than when you started.

As for the beer, what an amazing dichotomy between the nose and the palate. The bones of this thing are really driven by the Violetta Pale malt from the all mighty @rabbit_hill_malthouse and us pushing the envelope on % of adjunct malts specifically oats which unfortunately is difficult for us to execute regularly on large batches with our system. The hops in this thing are all from our good friends @eggershops who graciously allowed us to select lots this year. When we went through sensory, the Rakau just blew us away like no batches we have experienced in our 9 years and we have loved that hop for a long time. The Riwaka Special X….welll that s*#t is just special ?.

The aroma is super dank with underlying over ripe KIWI while the palate does a magic trick and shoves stonefruit, specifically peach from the Rakau, down your throat layered with nectarine and clean tropical notes with a creamy body that somehow throws a vanilla like finish.
