Beer Description
A new collaboration with our friends from Bratislava, Firstep. After earning their trade brewing in Prague, Michal and Rafa teamed up with designer Pete to create their own brand. We are super excited to be one of their early collaborators as they embark on spreading their fresh hop-forward beer into Europe.
Leaning into our love for traditional Czech lager and hop forward IPAs, we decided on a fresh West Coast Pilsner. We were lucky enough to use some fresh hops from the Statek Vodňanský hop farm in Czechia. The farm has a rich family history, from being confiscated at the beginning of World War 2 and lost again under Soviet occupation. The Vodňanský family emigrated to Vienna until the Velvet Revolution, where they were able to reclaim the farm, which was now left in ruins. Decades of regeneration and the farm passing down through the family, the farm is fully focused on operating efficient, responsible agriculture that is friendly to nature, animals, and people.
