Ocelot Wilderness Of False Flowers

It’s a force that knows no mercy. A flame of destruction and tenderness blazing bright. Feel the wind blowing in from far beyond the Wilderness of False Flowers.

Wilderness of False Flowers is a new 6.8% IPA defined by two colliding fronts: dankness and tropicality. On the former side, the puffy domaine of ye old sticky icky, we whirlpooled this hoppy brew with PNW classic Simcoe, then dry hopped it with Strata and more Simcoe. But Strata is a duplicitous varietal, harboring a secret tropical personality of passion fruit, strawberry, and melon. To play up this quality, we introduced a third cultivar to the mix: Elani! Discovered growing wild in Idaho’s St. Joe River Valley earlier this decade, Elani brings bright, bold notes of guava, tangerine, white peach, and cantaloupe.

These expressive hops are given an exceedingly soft canvas. The IPA’s grist is a near even split of pilsner malt and silkifying grains — flaked oats, flaked wheat, and chit.

Burn it all down to the ends of this earth.
