Beer Description
Brimstone is smoked with sun-baked Texas scrub oak, which results in a bold, smokey whisky full of fresh youthful corn and light fruit notes.
Prairie Ales and Balcones Distilling whiskey barrel aged collaboration beer. We were both excited to team up, and the idea of Brimstone Bomb! was born. We wanted to take Bomb! & make it even bolder and smokier, and knew that aging it in used Brimstone barrels would do just that.
Balcones gave us a few freshly dumped Brimstone barrels and we have been aging Bomb! in them for 4 months. Good things come to those who wait. The smokey notes from the whiskey have already added great flavor and complexity to the beer, and itβs only going to get better.
