As the 22nd installment in the Woodford Reserve Master’s Collection, this expression focuses heavily on the wood seasoning process rather than a unique mashbill or traditional finishing cask. While standard barrel staves are air-dried for six to nine months, the staves used for these custom barrels spent five to seven years exposed to open outdoor elements before being assembled. This extended seasoning reduces harsh tannins and makes natural wood sugars more accessible
