Beer Description
Our Summer Ale is our take on a very old German style of wheat beer, traditionally brewed in the town of Goslar and then Leipzig. The wheat beers there were brewed with the slightly salty water found in Goslar, with the addition of coriander. The wild fermentations, in which lactic acid producing bacteria were also used, gave the beer a lemony tartness that balanced well with the saltiness of the water.
